Chief Executive Officer
With an ambitious new strategic plan to become a major player in the policy, economic and cultural landscape, the Federation is looking for its inaugural CEO to provide strong leadership and deliver on its goal to advocate for the shared interests of its member organisations.
Reporting to a Board of Victorian Traditional Owners, the CEO will manage a highly skilled policy and development team to influence national and state policy direction.
We are looking for a proactive leader, with strong political understanding and good communication skills who can both act as spokesperson for the Federation to raise its profile, and effectively maintain relationships with the Victorian Aboriginal community, government, businesses and our partner organisations.
As a growing organisation, the CEO will bring on more staff and create a positive organisational culture that demonstrates the Federation’s values of collaboration, culture and Country. Highly motivated and hands-on, the CEO will drive the Federation’s capacity to deliver sustainable programs by attracting, managing and acquitting monies from diverse revenue streams.
This is an exceptional opportunity for an Aboriginal leader to shape an Aboriginal organisation that is already playing a prominent role in influencing policies that affect the lives of Victorian Traditional Owners.
An attractive salary package in the general range of VPS Level EO3 will be negotiated.
